I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts (LMHC), North Carolina (LCMHC), Kentucky (LPCC),  and Ohio (LPCC) and Georgia (LPCC). I offer in person sessions in Newport, KY and Asheville, NC. I offer online sessions to all residents of NC, GA, OH, KY, and MA. I have been in the mental health field for over 15  years working with individuals, couples, and families.  Over the course of my career  I have found my passion to be working with those who are looking for direction and support after experiencing trauma, a major life transition or are just tired of living a life that is not true to themselves. 

You will find my approach to be empathetic, reflective, and direct. I encourage swearing in session and I also use humor to help my clients take a step back from their current situation.  

I come from a secular and humanistic background and I am intensively trained in DBT. DBT is used to help clients get away from black and white thinking, regulate their emotions, and tolerate distress when talking about difficult parts of their life.  I also utilize the 8 Keys to Recovery for my clients with a history of disordered eating.
